Post by Rob Lister » Mon Jun 27, 2016 6:21 pm

1. On Big Bang Theory, now in Season 9, why haven't they fixed the fucking elevator? I ask because Kaley Cuoco's ass doesn't have too many more seasons to go. They're pretty smart guys. I'm sure they could figure out a way to get the elevator fixed.

On The Flintstones season 6 -- Was the Great Gazoo supposed to be gay, or is that stereotypical "gay" voice supposed to be funny or something?

The answer is both. But gay-sounding voices are only funny on TV. Paul Lynde for the Win.

Up to 2010 or so. Now they're funny everywhere. So rejoice! you funny guy.

Hey! You asked for stupid.

I don't remember what he sounded like, but I recall he played straight characters.

BTW, Harvey Korman (Gazoo) was straight.

The showbiz type whose voice mine most nearly resembles (I have mentioned this before) is Soupy Sales.

So, back to The Big Bang theory. In Leonard and Sheldon's apartment there is a library-style card catalog cabinet.

What's in it?

Back to move questions.

Should you get insurance above and beyond what your moving company has? Should you get a copy of their coverage?

Speculation: It's the card catalog for the physics selection in the university library. Sheldon didn't like how the library assistant was organizing the catalog, and took over, using the Cooper Non-Decimal System. Shortly afterwards, searches were digitized, and Sheldon took the cabinet to preserve his work.

Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

But why would the show do that? It would be like fixing the jukebox in Happy Days so that hitting it didn't work anymore.

Umbrella insurance is good if you can afford it, but a bonded mover should be sufficient.
