It may be a pretense, but it will continue.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

As I see it, they stopped completely in 2016, but it really started in 1992.

It is the dead hand of Hillary.

That clearly backfired. Is Dennis Kuchinichchchch no longer filling that role?

I have no idea whether his opinion comes from specific inside information or is his own speculation, so I won't presume.

That was actually one of the conclusions from the leaked DNC emails.

Bernie was there to be the hippie they could punch, and instead he took off. They were angry he tried to actually win it.

Right now they can't depend on an actual hard right winger running solo and splitting Trump's vote. Right now they are worried Trump might shave off some African American votes. Trump is basically Perot 2.0 already so they can't have a technocrat protectionist pop up either and spoil it (which is why Clinon won).

Expect an African American candidate to get pushed really hard even if they are a horrible candidate (Corey Booker).

Going through the motions of pleasing voters is bipartisan, and however insincere it is, it is the only occasion where democracy works even a little bit. If the end result is that the opinions of voters influence the actions of leaders some of the time, even grudgingly, that's more than none.

I predict a boring old white man that some people will try to compare with Sanders but isn't really like him.

A boring old lifelong Democrat, perhaps.

I'm guessing a black woman. Any boring old ones? We'll see.

Mainly my prediction is from them getting so shaken up by the Trump election that they revert to "playing it safe".

I expect we will get Trump again, unless the Democrats take both houses of congress this year.

Then impeachment + removal from office + President Pence + wide open Republican field in 2020.

Bear in mind that in US history there have only been two presidential impeachments and no removals from office.

Nixon resigned after the bill of impeachment was sent to the House by the Judiciary Committee, but before there was any action upon it. I don't see Trump as doing that in such a case.

There is still the possibility of some Democrat not yet well known nationally taking it.

Who outside Georgia had heard of Jimmy Carter in 1974?

We will get Teh Orange Fucktard again because the Dummycrats can do nothing except yell "Nazi!"

And by the time the pussy-grabber is done with his second term, there'll be very little left of The Republic.

Is Hillary Clinton secretly planning to run in 2020?
New York Post

The messages convey a sense of urgency, and are coming with increasing frequency. They are short, focused reactions to the latest “outrage” committed by President Trump.

Some end by asking for money, some urge participation in protests. All read as if they are sent from the official headquarters of the resistance.

Hillary Clinton is up to something.

Asking for money. That's so unlike the Clintons.

I can’t see the future, but if I were a gambling man, I’d bet against her running again. If she did run, I would definitely bet against her winning, no matter who the GOP ran (I.e. if Trump said “fuck it, I don’t want 4 more years of this shit). And I would at least entertain the thought of betting she didn’t make it past the primary if she ran.

Hillary is done. For good or ill, she is finished.

As for those e-mails, my guess is she has a...successor...in mind and is raising money for them

That is a more likely scenario.

The rest is Republican wishful thinking.
