Wait a minute. Maybe this isn't just another ed schtick.

He found a trilobite in Lake Myakka. Or a whole mess of them.

What species is Myakka Moe again and what do they eat?

The big trilobites are of course extinct, but there are a few of the smaller ones (20mm or so) left in the swamps around Lake Myakka.

There is a traditional Seminole stew somewhat like bouillabaisse, but also including a bit of manatee and alligator in the mix.

The so-called "yummy bug" ingredient is usually a crawdad, but ed (having gone completely native) has learned the truth.

25.4mm
If they're smaller than that, you're supposed to throw them back. :)

Just sayin'.

By co-inky-dink was just reading something about this.

Long story made short. No one really knows for sure why they went extinct, but they lived through two mass extinctions that likely fucked up their food supplies and changed the environments to which they were adapted. First mass extinction seriously reduced their numbers and seems to have wiped out the largest order of them. Second one left just a few stragglers left. Finally something called the P-T extinction was the final nail in their coffin

Being "known to science" means being hassled by scientists all the time.

Would you be "known to science" if you could help it?

Why can't you fuckers just let the poor things rest in peace?
"It is not I who is mad! It is I who is crazy!" -- Ren Hoek

"[... it seems most strange that... ] the Creator of Heaven and Earth resorted to the womb of a certain Jewish lady, grew there for nine months and was born as an infant, and afterwards grew up and was betrayed into the hands of his enemies who sentenced him to death and executed him, and that afterwards... he came to life and returned to his original place. The mind of a Jew, or any other person, simply cannot tolerate these assertions. If you have listened all your life to the priests who have filled your brain and the marrow of your bones with this doctrine, and it has settled into you because of that accustomed habit. Maybe there was some kind of trilobite plague?

ed needs a little wisdom from the Talmud.

{insert offensive Jew graphic here} Why did Trilobites die? Because they lived.

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.
