I think they're about to advertise an "upside-down" dish.
I was thinking along similar lines, but I was thinking the b would stand for breakfast and be lower case to resemble an upside down p in order to call back to their old name

Tell that to Metlife. Seems like dropping popular branding for no damn reason is the new hip thing.

Regardless, if I want mediocre pancakes and overbrewed coffee, I will just go to Dennys

It's kind of hard to really mess up pancakes. In my experience anyway. I've never ordered pancakes and thought "wow, these are terrible pancakes" when they arrived. Even McDonalds seems to be able to make a decent pancake (although for some reason they call them "hotcakes").

In my area, IHOP is for when Denny's is a little too scuzzy. IHOP > Denny's > Waffle House (>TLOP)

Though, only a few hundred miles away in Panama City the IHOP was so bad that our group left before ordering and found a Waffle House that was actually pretty decent. Apparently things are reversed there.

Only tolerable pancakes:

Caviar, sour cream and dill. (But I would cook them thinner…)

With a shot of vodka, of course.

It is indeed.

Problem is, its equally hard to do anything to make one pancake stand out from others. Denny's, IHOP, cracking open a box of Bisquik and making them myself, all make roughly equivalent pankcakes

I prefer Denny's myself, but only because IHOP is literally on the opposite side of town from where I live whereas Denny's is just down the block. Walking distance if I weren't a lazy fuck

Lame. There's already a gazillion restaurants that feature burgers.

But not one that features balut.

Yes but they spell it as Burgers therefore it's an illegal burger.
