The Boy must learn

Postby Bruce » Wed Apr 25, 2018 7:21 am

The Boy is 11, but has been behaving like he's 13. Fights with is mom all the time. Keeps making the same mistake in thinking that I'm going to help him in these battles.

Boy, I can't even win my own battles with your mom. What makes you think I can win yours?

------------------------------------
Close the window
I'm hot.
Close the window.
I'm sweating.
Close the window.
Please, it's only open just a little.
Close the window.
Dad, help!

You're a big boy now. You're strong enough to close the window by yourself.
DaaAAaaad!! That's not what I meant! :hissyfit:

--------------------------------------

Do your homework.
It's Friday.
Do your homework.
I've got all weekend.
Do your homework.
My friends are having a Fortnite tournament right now.
Do your homework.
Dad, help!

It's in your book-bag behind the couch.
DaaAAaaad!! That's not what I meant! :hissyfit:

If he doesn't learn, the inevitable will happen.

Mom, let me in.
..............
I'm sorry. Come on, let me in. It's starting to rain.
..............
Mom?
.............
Dad! Mom locked me out of the house and won't talk to me. Help!

You got it, son. Meet me at the back window. Ok. Here's a tent, a loaf of bread, some peanut-butter, a list of job openings, and some apartment listings. Whoa, that looks expensive! Looks like you're going to have to work really hard in this post-Trump economy.
Such potential!

I hope you never have to get to that point. I have and it just kills ya. It's better now.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

Yeah. Scares me to think how quickly the teen years are approaching for the boy. Two more years and Brucetta will be driving. Egads.
Such potential!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you....:)
